About the Event
Organized by United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center (WIPO Center), this webinar will discuss the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) for disputes relating to standard essential patents (SEPs).
The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center will share its case experience in fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) and SEP disputes, and will moderate a panel discussion. The panel will address key issues in SEP licensing, including the:
- Hurdles to agreeing on SEP licensing terms
- Impact of courts setting global FRAND rates
- Role of mediation and arbitration going forward
