Who We Are & What We Do
We are a community of inventors, attorneys, businesses, nonprofits, artists, educators, and tinkerers who get excited about innovation and believe in the power of intellectual property (IP) to protect it. We want everyone in Kentucky to be able to access, learn about, and benefit from IP.
The Kentucky Intellectual Property Alliance (KYIPA) is a program of the Kentucky Commercialization Ventures initiative and KSTC. We are affiliated with the United States Intellectual Property Alliance (USIPA) and supported by individuals, organizations, and agencies across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
For more information on the USIPA, please visit our national and state partners at USIPAlliance.org.

Mission
The mission of the Kentucky Intellectual Property Alliance is to foster an effective ecosystem and marketplace to facilitate the creation, protection, and advancement of intellectual property in Kentucky by serving as a connecting organization for statewide companies, organizations, and innovators.
We follow the USIPA's pillars of IP Awareness & Education, IP Ecosystem Collaboration, and IP Diversity & Inclusion to support a thriving, IP-supported community.

Vision
We believe that innovation can transform an economy when it is protected by a strong, connected intellectual property community.
Therefore, the KYIPA will foster an effective innovation ecosystem in Kentucky by promoting an inclusive, multidisciplinary intellectual property network.
