About the Event
March 18 (Manufacturing Industries)
IP Attachés are U.S. diplomats assigned to U.S. embassies, consulates, or missions abroad. They provide free services to U.S. IP rightsholders. Attachés work to improve IP systems internationally by working with foreign agencies and courts, and directly assisting U.S. stakeholders by providing information and helping them to navigate foreign laws and regulations.
More specifically, IP Attachés provide services including: raising issues with foreign government officials; providing training on IP law, enforcement and administration; and presenting and explaining U.S. government positions. Moreover, IP Attachés help U.S. stakeholders enter foreign markets and conduct business abroad by teaching U.S. stakeholders how to navigate foreign laws and regulations; how foreign courts and governments work; and how to protect and enforce IP abroad.
You will:
· Learn about services provided by IP Attachés.
· Learn more about the key markets that they cover as regional IP Attachés.
